Iraq demands new venue for Palestine WCQ match

Iraq has requested to move their World Cup qualifier against Palestine from Amman, Jordan, rejecting a proposal to play just outside Jerusalem. FIFA suggested Amman as a neutral venue after the Palestinian proposal was turned down, but Iraq has asked for the match to be moved to another city. The Iraqi Football Association cited FIFA’s rules on neutral venues and expressed concerns about the competition’s integrity, as they currently lead Jordan by two points in Group B standings.
