Iran held a joint funeral for senior security official Ali Larijani and the crew of an Iranian navy ship sunk by the US. Thousands of mourners gathered in Revolution Square in Tehran to pay their respects. Despite ongoing protests and opposition blaming the government for crackdowns, many still support the leadership, as seen by the large crowds at the funeral. A man at the funeral even threatened US President Trump with retaliation for the deaths caused by the US. The scenes today show that there is still considerable support for Iran’s government.
