Trump flight from Turkiye prompted by Iran threat

An assassination threat related to Iran led President Donald Trump to discreetly switch planes during his July departure from the NATO summit in Turkiye. While he announced he would board an older Air Force One, he instead used a catering cart to access a smaller military aircraft, a C-32A, which took him to the UK. This operation was prompted by credible threats from Iran-aligned groups. After arriving in the UK, Trump appeared publicly on the older Air Force One, which served as a decoy.
