Iran rules out missiles in talks with US

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed hope for the resumption of talks with the United States, following mediated discussions in Oman and reiterated that Iran’s missile program is non-negotiable. US President Donald Trump pledged further negotiations next week but also imposed tariffs on countries doing business with Iran and announced new sanctions to curb Iran’s oil exports. Despite the talks being described as a good start, there is skepticism about the outcome, with concerns about concessions and expanding the scope of negotiations beyond the nuclear issue. Trump’s administration is exerting pressure on Iran through military presence in the region, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to discuss Iran talks with Trump.
