A massive explosion at Shahid Rajaee port in Bandar Abbas, Iran, on Saturday resulted in at least four deaths and over 500 injuries, with state media suggesting that ignited chemical containers likely caused the blast. Iranian authorities did not indicate that the incident was a deliberate attack, and the timing coincided with U.S.-Iran discussions on nuclear issues in Oman. The port, strategically located along the Strait of Hormuz, previously faced a cyberattack by Israel in 2020, but Israeli officials did not comment on this explosion.
