Two British citizens detained in Iran

Two British citizens have been detained in Iran on security-related charges in the city of Kerman, as reported by Iranian state media. The Foreign Office is providing consular assistance to the individuals and is in contact with Iranian authorities. Blurred images of the detainees meeting with the British ambassador at the Kerman prosecutor’s office were published by Irna, although their identities and the date of their detention remain unknown.
