Amnesty International has joined in calling for the resentencing of over 2,600 prisoners serving inhumane IPP sentences, some for minor crimes, such as James Lawrence, Thomas White, and Abdullahi Suleman, who have been incarcerated for years. The situation has led to serious health issues, with White now too unwell to leave his cell, prompting concerns over the human rights violations and inhumane treatment of these prisoners.
