A security guard and deacon named Eddie Shed, 39, was shot dead while intervening in a domestic violence dispute during a church event at Goldin Sports Complex in Gulfport. The incident, which occurred shortly after 2 p.m., left another individual injured and sent to an Alabama hospital, while the shooting suspect was transported to Singing River Hospital. Three individuals are in custody, and authorities confirmed that the shooting was not related to Spring Break but stemmed from a domestic incident following a Resurrection Day event organized by Empowerment Ministries Christian Center.
