In his 22 years as head coach, Johnson has amassed over 600 wins, seven national championships, and a reputation for understanding his players’ mindset and making practice enjoyable. A former Olympic gold medalist and NHL player, Johnson took a leap of faith to coach the women’s team in 2002, defying skeptics who doubted his commitment to the women’s game and loyalty to the program.
