A rare Cold War bunker in Dersingham, Norfolk, built in 1957 as part of the Royal Observer Corps’ early warning system, is set to be auctioned for £20,000 on May 8, coinciding with VE Day’s 80th anniversary. This underground relic includes essential nuclear monitoring equipment and offers a glimpse into the lives of volunteers who prepared for potential nuclear attacks during the Cold War. As one of the few remaining posts from a once-extensive network, it presents a unique opportunity for buyers interested in preserving a significant piece of history.
