As conflict escalates in the Middle East, Dubai, a major tourist destination, has experienced missile and drone attacks, prompting defenses to intercept threats. Despite these tensions, some influencers residing in the city describe it as safer than many U.S. urban areas, with one influencer stating he felt calm even after the attacks. The U.S. State Department has advised American citizens in the region to leave due to heightened risks and travel disruptions. Influencer Mike Babayan, who has lived in Dubai since 2020, noted that life continues normally, with people out on the streets and a general sense of calm among residents. In contrast, Hofit Golan, another influencer, observed a quieter atmosphere in the city, reminiscent of pandemic lockdowns, but she also expressed contentment with the current state of affairs.
