Attempt to place surveillance satellite into orbit fails after launch vehicle PSLV-C61 encountered a technical issue, ISRO chief says.
India’s space agency, ISRO, faced a setback as its PSLV-C61 launch vehicle failed to place the EOS-9 surveillance satellite into orbit due to a technical issue during the third stage, according to ISRO chief V Narayanan. The launch occurred from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, and a Failure Analysis Committee will investigate the incident. This marks the third setback for ISRO’s PSLV missions since its first failure in 1993, following India’s recent achievements in space exploration.
