AFC bans Mohun Bagan for refusing to play in Iran.

Indian club Mohun Bagan Super Giant has been banned from AFC competitions and fined over $100,000 for refusing to play in Iran for an Asian Champions League match against Sepahan SC. The AFC disciplinary committee excluded them from future competitions until 2027-28 and imposed a $50,000 penalty, along with additional damages. Mohun Bagan cited security concerns and lack of insurance as reasons for not traveling to Iran. The club is considering appealing the suspension.
