Indian Register of Shipping experiences owner exodus

The Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) experienced a significant decline in its classed fleet size over the past year, losing nearly 4m gt, making it the only member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) to register a fleet decrease. In contrast, ABS, RINA, and CCS saw substantial growth in gt terms, becoming the class societies with the largest fleet expansion according to data from Clarksons Research.
