India and China have reached a patrolling arrangement in the Eastern Ladakh sector of the Line of Actual Control, restoring the situation to how it was in April 2020. The Indian Army and the Chinese PLA will return to their previous patrolling points in the Demchok area and Depsang plains, prior to the standoff. The agreement aims to bring back the “status quo ante” and ease tensions between the two countries.
