India’s Prime Minister Modi and Brazilian President Lula signed an agreement to enhance cooperation on critical minerals and rare earths, aiming to reduce India’s reliance on China. Modi hailed the deal as a significant step towards building resilient supply chains. In addition to the mineral agreement, nine other deals were signed, including digital cooperation and health, as Modi expressed commitment to increasing bilateral trade with Brazil beyond $20bn in the next five years.
