India a stabilising factor in the Arctic, says Russian Ambassador

Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov highlighted India’s interest in the Arctic as a stabilising factor amid growing militarisation and tensions caused by NATO countries, speaking at an Arctic conference in Delhi. He praised India’s constructive approach in the Arctic Council and emphasized collaboration on scientific research and mineral extraction projects in the Arctic. The Envoy also mentioned discussions on Indian-Russian cargo transit in the Northern Sea Route, training Indian sailors for polar navigation, and building stable transport corridors to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
