Keith and Shelley Jones, retired Pasadena Police Department officers, returned to the Rose Parade with their grandchildren after joking they wouldn’t. Despite the joyous occasion, they expressed sympathy for the New Orleans tragedy and highlighted the increased security measures in place at the parade. The presence of over 1,000 law enforcement officers and robust vehicle barriers helped ensure the safety of attendees, with participants and spectators alike enjoying the event under heightened security measures.
