Cricket legends urge immediate medical attention for Imran Khan
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A group of legendary former international cricketers has appealed to Pakistan’s government to provide immediate and adequate medical attention for Imran Khan, the country’s former cricket captain and prime minister, who has reportedly been denied appropriate medical treatment during his incarceration. The 14 former captains, including Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, and Clive Lloyd, raised concerns over Khan’s deteriorating health and alleged mistreatment in a letter published on Tuesday. Khan, a popular figure in Pakistan, led the nation to its first World Cup win in 1992 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest all-round players in cricket history. The cricketers urged the government to ensure Khan receives proper medical care, humane detention conditions, and fair access to legal processes.
