What we know about the case of detained Georgetown professor Badar Khan Suri

Georgetown University professor and postdoctoral scholar Badar Khan Suri, an Indian national, was detained by the Trump administration but has been blocked from deportation by a federal judge. Suri, accused of spreading Hamas propaganda, is being supported by his lawyers who claim the government is retaliating against him for his political views. Suri was teaching at Georgetown University and is in the U.S. on a J-1 visa. The Department of Homeland Security has not commented on the case.
