IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva expects the completion of Egypt’s loan reviews in a matter of weeks. This will allow Egypt to receive the second tranche of a $5.2 billion loan package. Georgieva praised Egypt’s commitment to economic reforms despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
