A mother advocates for her son with disability and stigma challenges

Martha Apolot, a 21-year-old mother in Uganda, carries her eight-year-old son Aaron, who has an undiagnosed disability, to the fields where she works. After being raped at 13, Martha faced family turmoil and eventually returned home to raise Aaron, who was born after a complicated delivery and required immediate medical attention. Despite his challenges, Martha remains devoted to providing for her son while managing the demands of daily life.
