Intuitive Machines successfully landed the Odysseus spacecraft on the moon last year, despite it toppling over upon landing. Now, the Houston company is preparing to launch the Athena lander, aiming for a soft landing near the moon’s south pole, carrying a drill for NASA and other payloads such as rovers and a flying hopper. The mission is set to take place on Feb. 26, with backup opportunities available, and will also include the launch of three other spacecraft, including Lunar Trailblazer and Odin, heading to the moon and an asteroid, respectively.
