After Delhi Liquor Policy CAG Report, All Eyes On ‘Sheesh Mahal’ Audit Findings; Will CBI Probe Quicken?

The BJP has alleged that expensive additions to the official residence of former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal led to a hike in costs, prompting a CBI investigation into tender rule violations and construction lapses. The tabling of the CAG report in the Delhi assembly may accelerate the probe into alleged wrongdoings, including lack of transparency in awarding contracts and inflated costs. The CBI is closely monitoring the report for evidence of criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence, and corruption, particularly regarding the alleged additions of marble flooring and high-end fittings.
