In a TikTok video, NHS surgeon Dr. Karan Rajan demonstrates a simple way to check for dehydration by gently pinching the skin on your knuckle – if it bounces back, you’re hydrated, if it stays up, you’re dehydrated. To maintain hydration levels, drink plenty of fluids throughout the day, especially when active or in hot weather, and increase fluid intake when ill with fever, vomiting, or diarrhea.
