How Google Maps Plans to Handle the ‘Gulf of America’

The Trump administration renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, but Google and Apple have not updated their maps yet. Google stated it will change the name once the U.S. government updates its official maps, as it follows official government sources for name changes. In addition to the gulf, President Trump also changed the name of Mount McKinley back from Denali on his first day in office.
