The UK is set to experience its hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures predicted to reach up to 28°C on Wednesday, following a warm trend starting Monday. Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell noted that while the south already sees warm temperatures around 21.5°C, the weather will remain largely sunny across most of the UK, with only the far north of Scotland expected to experience some rain. Although the spell will be warm, it may not officially qualify as a heatwave, which requires three consecutive days above 25°C.
