Stojsavljevic, 16, reached her second consecutive final after winning the Lexus GB Pro Series Birmingham a week prior, having previously defeated Xu in the quarter-finals. Following her victory, Xu quickly transitioned to partner with McDonald in the doubles final against Amarni Banks and Valentina Ryser.
