Hori is bringing its officially licensed Steam controller to the US, available for preorder on Amazon with a release date of December 16 for $60. Originally released in Japan, the gamepad features a Steam menu button, touch sensors on joysticks, mappable back buttons, and Bluetooth connectivity. With a 12-hour battery life, customizable settings in the Steam menu, and a USB-A Bluetooth receiver, the controller lacks rumble functionality, a trackpad, and a headphone jack but offers a solid option for navigating Steam games. Valve’s discontinued Steam controller was known for its versatile configurations, making Hori’s offering a promising alternative for gamers.
