Four babies were born in Hong Kong’s public hospitals on New Year’s Day, including a boy at Prince of Wales Hospital at seven minutes past midnight and a girl at 1.59am, as well as Jason Lung at Princess Margaret Hospital, who was born a week past his due date. Jason, the first child for his parents, arrived after a caesarean section following labour difficulties, making him one of the last “dragon babies” before the Year of the Snake begins on January 29. His parents hope to provide a stress-free environment for him as he grows up.
