Homes feared lost as bushfires spread in west

Multiple bushfires have swept through Western Australia, with residents in the Wheatbelt region facing the loss of homes as emergency warnings are issued in Arthur River and Reef Beach. Power outages have affected hundreds of homes and businesses, with a 40,000-hectare blaze in the central region prompting watch-and-act alerts. Extreme heatwave warnings have been issued for the Goldfields and southern interior districts, with severe heatwave warnings in place across much of southern and inland WA.
