Jiaoying Summers, owner of The Hollywood Comedy Club, is facing severe harassment, including death threats and hundreds of negative reviews, after popular influencers, the Kalogeras sisters, attended an open-mic night and claimed mistreatment. Following their visit, the club’s Google rating plummeted from 4.5 to 1.6 stars, and Summers received threatening messages. Amid the backlash, she has hired an attorney and posted her own videos to defend her business. Experts note the increasing impact influencers have on small businesses, raising concerns for those without a public platform.
