Christopher M. Dillard, convicted in the April 2017 murder of bartender Nicole Gland, died at the Miami Correctional Level 3 Facility near Peru at age 58. Dillard, a bouncer at Upper Deck Lounge in Chesterton, was serving a 65-year sentence. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending, with toxicology results expected in four weeks.
