HMS Dragon is being prepared for deployment to the Mediterranean to bolster defense at the British base in Cyprus following a drone attack on RAF Akrotiri. The Type 45 destroyer, which is currently being armed in Portsmouth, is set to leave next week. In the meantime, Royal Navy Wildcat helicopters equipped with counter-drone missiles will be deployed to enhance security in the region against threats from Iran and its proxies.
