HMM details $17.5bn expansion plans

South Korean shipping company HMM announced a $17.48 billion expansion plan to nearly double its container fleet and triple its tanker and dry bulk fleets by 2030. The company will invest KRW11 trillion to increase its boxship fleet to 130 vessels with 1.55 million slots. Currently ranked as the eighth largest container line, HMM aims to significantly grow its fleet and market presence in the coming years.
