East Auckland commuters should expect traffic disruption as a hīkoi from Northland to Parliament in protest of the ACT Party’s Bill on Treaty of Waitangi principles will take place this week. Police have established a major operations centre in Wellington to oversee the event, engaging with organizers to ensure a peaceful and lawful march. The hīkoi is set to start on November 11, arriving at Parliament on November 18-19, with police coordinating with iwi leaders, government partners, and road authorities to ensure public safety and minimal disruption.
