A High Court judge ruled that a Garda should not face a second disciplinary inquiry over taking a bluetooth speaker from a confiscated vehicle, as a previous board had dismissed the alleged breach of discipline. Garda Adrian Ivers, stationed in Cootehill, Co Cavan, was suspended in February 2020, and is entitled to a court order quashing the decision for a second inquiry.
