In May, Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) seized nearly 3.6kg of heroin and arrested 139 individuals during extensive drug raids across various neighborhoods, with the youngest suspect being a 14-year-old student. Significant quantities of other drugs, including cannabis and Ice, were also confiscated, with notable arrests occurring in Tuas and a Geylang hotel, where a 46-year-old was taken for trafficking. CNB emphasized its commitment to combating drug trafficking, stating that severe penalties, including the death penalty, apply to those convicted of significant drug offenses.
