Illinois residents now have access to “Fast-Lane” DMV kiosks at 15 grocery stores, allowing for driver’s license and state ID renewal services to be conveniently completed while running errands. The kiosks offer immediate printing of vehicle registration renewals and plate stickers, with an average transaction time of two minutes or less. However, new Illinois driver’s licenses, REAL IDs, and new driver or vehicle services still require an in-person visit to the DMV.
