HBO Producing V FOR VENDETTA Series with James Gunn

HBO is developing a live-action series adaptation of V for Vendetta, with Pete Jackson as the writer and James Gunn and Peter Safran as executive producers. The series, produced by Warner Bros. Television, aims to explore the dystopian narrative of an anarchist named V, who fights against a fascist regime in Britain. This project follows HBO’s success with other DC properties, including the acclaimed Watchmen, and could provide a deeper exploration of the story’s themes. The original 2005 film adaptation remains a cult classic, and HBO’s version may offer a fresh serialized perspective.
