Teams in the Battle of the Cities showed intense competitiveness on the third day of the event, with finalists including teams from Moscow, Russia; Copenhagen, Denmark; Saint Petersburg, Russia; and Marseille, France.

The Battle of the Community featured teams displaying enhanced competitiveness, reflecting a growing community awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Finalists for the Battle of the Community include Block20 x Empire, NAS, Umm Al Quwain, and Spirit Level.

Running until 3 March, the event features 194 teams from around the world. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, attended day three of the Gov Games 2024.

His Highness praised the support of various partners for the event, emphasizing the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors to promote community engagement, enhance performance standards, and foster innovation in sports and social creativity.

The four outstanding teams qualified for the Battle of the Cities finals are Moscow, Russia; Copenhagen, Denmark; Saint Petersburg, Russia; and Marseille, France. In the Battle of the Community, Block20 x Empire emerged victorious, followed by NAS, Umm Al Quwain, and Spirit Level.

The Gov Games 2024 is supported by partners and sponsors such as DP World, Dubai Sports Council, Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), Damac Properties, Emirates Post Group (7X), Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), First Abu Dhabi Bank, and more.

The event’s growth and success are credited to the continuous support of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Partners praised the event for promoting teamwork, well-being, and friendly competition within the community.
