Bethlehem, occupied West Bank – On Christmas Eve, Manger Square came alive with scout troupes marching and playing music, marking the first festive celebration in two years amid ongoing violence. Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa highlighted the struggle of Palestinians, especially in Gaza, while attendees expressed a mix of joy and sorrow due to the continuing conflict. Despite military checkpoints making travel difficult, around 1,500 people celebrated the holiday, reflecting on their heritage and the hope for peace.
