Pahīatua Homicide: Caution Advised for Hitchhikers

Motorists are advised against picking up a hitchhiker resembling Jeremy Robertson, the son of 74-year-old Karen Gilbert-Palmer, who was found dead in her Pahīatua home on October 15. Robertson, in his 50s, allegedly took his mother’s red Mitsubishi and drove it to Rotorua, where it was later abandoned; he has been on the run for nearly two weeks with no confirmed sightings.
