Hot weather to finally return but not before we endure a drenching

This week has brought miserable weather across the UK, with London experiencing rain, thunderstorms, and unseasonably low temperatures around 17C. The Met Office warns of heavier and more frequent storms through the weekend, particularly on Saturday, where gusts of up to 40mph and rainfall of 20mm to 30mm are expected in southern regions. However, temperatures are predicted to rise to 25C by Wednesday, signaling an end to the wet weather and the arrival of warmer summer conditions.
