The man who attempted to kidnap Princess Anne in 1974, Ian Ball, has been released from a high-security mental hospital and is now campaigning for his innocence. Ball, who shot four people during the incident, claims the kidnapping was a hoax gone wrong and is promoting his self-published book, “To Kidnap A Princess,” to support his narrative.
