In Bella Coola, B.C., conservation officers are attempting to capture three grizzly bears following an attack on a school group during a field trip, which left two people critically injured. The attack occurred when the group stopped for lunch, and additional bears were spotted in the area. Residents are advised to avoid the 4 Mile subdivision and not to engage in searching for the bears, as authorities conduct their assessment with the help of an RCMP helicopter using thermal imaging. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Report All Poachers and Polluters line.
