Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are meeting with Danish and Greenlandic foreign ministers at the White House amid President Trump’s ongoing interest in acquiring Greenland. Trump reiterated that Greenland is vital for U.S. national security, dismissing Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen’s preference for Denmark. Both Denmark and Greenland have stated that the territory is “not for sale,” and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen condemned U.S. pressure as unacceptable. The Trump administration is reportedly considering all options, including military force, despite Rubio downplaying such possibilities.
