A Green and Liberal MPP have co-sponsored a private member’s bill aimed at eradicating homelessness in Ontario within a decade.

Experts believe the bill could significantly address the issue by ensuring the province adopts a “housing first” approach.

The initiative comes as the number of individuals living in homeless encampments, such as the one at Victoria and Weber Streets in Kitchener, remains relatively unchanged despite colder weather conditions.
