Gout Gout ran an impressive 19.98 seconds in the 200m at the Queensland Athletics Championships, breaking a 56-year-old national record, but the time was deemed invalid due to a tailwind exceeding the legal limit. The 17-year-old athlete had previously set a world lead time of 20.05 seconds in the heats and is set to compete in upcoming events to attempt breaking the 20-second barrier legally. Gout, coached by Di Sheppard and training with Olympic champion Noah Lyles, has garnered attention for his track success and is expected to continue making waves in the sport.
