The New Mexico Goatheads have strengthened their roster by signing forward Lynden Breen, as announced on Friday. Breen, who joins the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, is the third signing for the inaugural franchise, following the recruitment of forward Grant Ahcan and defenseman Trevor Zins. Breen previously played for the South Carolina Stingrays, where he contributed four goals and 21 assists over 59 games last season after making his professional debut late in the 2024-25 campaign. A native of Grand-Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, Canada, he had a successful college career at the University of Maine, tallying 49 goals and 66 assists in 144 games. The Goatheads will kick off their season on October 16 at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
